The elephant in the room

"Elephant in the room" is an English metaphorical for an obvious truth that is being ignored or goes unaddressed. The idiomatic expression also applies to an obvious problem or risk no one wants to discuss.

In French it is always said: ''La discussion jaillit la lumiere'' meaning, it is only through discussions that we could solve a problem or improve something... instead of ignoring the truth.
For example, ''AIDS problem'' .Everybody knows how much the disease is fatal and that scientists. haven't found any medications to eradicate it. So, the only way to slow down that disease it's to educate young people about it but the subject of SEX in our  cultures and families is taboo even parents know that ''AIDS'' is a big problem today and fatal!

Everybody knows the damages that the disease causes but , today, some parents still feel bad to educate or talk about sex to their children!

''La discussion jaillit la lumiere''
''the fact to rrecognize that there is a problem when there is one can solve, improve...a lot in the world''
